Reservoir in late October

Driving to Moab this year, I noticed the brilliant colors of the fall foliage on the cottonwoods along the River road. I don’t remember ever before seeing quite such gorgeous colors  at Indian Creek.

We climbed at the Six Star Wall, which I’d never before been to, so it was a successful trip despite my early departure after a sudden snowstorm - also a surprise in October!

  1. Autumn in Moab coincided with the first stab of winter here in Colorado. As I’m sure you know, we got 19 inches of snow on the west side of Bolder on Wednesday through the wee hours of Friday. By Saturday, lots of snow had melted, but the snowshoeing in the high country was pretty good — for October!
